During the recent Break The Chain album tour in Tanzania, Zuena Kirema offered a rare glimpse into a deeply personal chapter of her life with Ugandan music star Bebe Cool.

Speaking to local media while accompanying her husband on his regional tour, Zuena revealed that she once walked away from their relationship not because the love had faded, but because of concern for their children’s wellbeing.

At the heart of the issue was the lack of a stable home. Back then, the couple had two children, and Zuena says she repeatedly urged Bebe Cool to invest in property. However, her pleas fell on deaf ears, as he prioritized luxury cars over long-term security.

“I left because he had no place for our children,I kept telling him, but he was adamant and kept on buying expensive cars instead.”she said candidly.

Zuena explained that her decision wasn’t made lightly. It came after many discussions and warnings, driven by her desire to raise their children in a stable environment. Eventually, she gave Bebe Cool an ultimatum.

“I told him I wouldn’t come back unless he bought land,” she stated firmly.

Today, the couple’s relationship, which has spanned over two decades, stands as a testament to resilience. They’ve faced public scrutiny, breakups, and personal struggles but have managed to grow stronger through it all.

Zuena’s story resonates as more than just a celebrity confession. It’s a message to young couples about the importance of building a secure foundation rather than chasing fleeting status symbols.

Now with a large family, a permanent home, and successful careers, Bebe Cool and Zuena are seen as one of Uganda’s most enduring celebrity pairs.
