Tamale Mirundi Jr. has fired back at singer-turned-blogger Kazibwe Kapo, calling him a failure in life and branding him “the oldest blogger at 50”. This comes after Kazibwe Kapo made comments on Radio Buddu, urging Tamale Jr. to be more empathetic towards people facing hardships, especially after his recent accident.
Kazibwe Kapo, while expressing gratitude that Tamale Jr. survived the accident, suggested that the outspoken media personality should stop dismissing other people’s struggles as publicity stunts.
Tamale Jr., known for his bold and unfiltered opinions, did not take Kazibwe’s remarks lightly. He hit back in an interview on the Kasuku Live YouTube channel, where he ridiculed the veteran musician’s career trajectory.
Tamale Jr. did not hold back, criticizing Kazibwe Kapo’s failure to achieve the same level of success as his contemporaries, including Mesach Semakula and Geoffrey Lutaaya.
"You’re the oldest blogger at 50 years old. If you want respect, give it to yourself. I will not give any respect to old men who behave like toddlers," Tamale Jr. stated.
He further noted that while other musicians from Kapo’s era have built businesses and solid careers, Kapo has resorted to blogging as a survival mechanism.
Once a respected musician in Uganda’s Kadongo Kamu and dancehall industry, Kazibwe Kapo’s relevance has faded over time. Although he occasionally releases music, he has become more active in digital media, where he shares his opinions on the entertainment industry.
Tamale Jr.’s remarks have reignited debate about whether Kazibwe Kapo has indeed underachieved compared to his peers or if his pivot to blogging is a natural evolution in his career.
With both men known for their no-nonsense attitudes, the feud between Tamale Jr. and Kazibwe Kapo could escalate further. Fans are now eagerly watching whether Kazibwe Kapo will respond to Tamale Jr.’s scathing remarks or choose to ignore the controversy.
