This beautiful occasion comes just a month after their engagement ceremony.

Ykee Benda shared a heartfelt message with fans on social media, capturing the emotion of the day:

“Yesterday, baby took Dadzy to her Daddy! Three years ago, I made a promise to a young lawyer that I would bring honor to her name and her father’s house. Yesterday was the beginning of fulfilling that promise. Beautiful as ever, she walked into a room full of family and could barely walk. She knelt to greet Badman and introduced him to the old man. The old men met and agreed the cows and goats and us, the two lovebirds, couldn’t be more grateful to God. Emily’s Kukyala 2025  thank you all who stood with us. ON TO THE NEXT ONE.”

In Buganda culture, the Kukyala is the traditional pre-introduction visit where a groom formally declares his intent to marry.

During the ceremony, Ykee was officially introduced to Emily’s family, and both sides agreed on key aspects of the bride price and upcoming nuptial plans.

The couple is now preparing for their introduction ceremony, which is expected to take place in September 2025.

Fans, fellow artists, and well-wishers have flooded social media with messages of love and congratulations, applauding the couple’s commitment and cultural pride.
