Swangz Avenue singer Winnifred Nakanwagi, popularly known as Winnie Nwagi, has taken aim at fellow artist and Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) president Cindy Sanyu over her recent public comments about other musicians.
Nwagi, known for her hit song Musawo, expressed her frustration with Cindy’s tendency to rank fellow artists based on her personal views.

She stressed that Uganda’s music industry is filled with talented performers and that no one should act as a judge over others.
“Cindy needs to understand she’s not the only musician in Uganda.Everyone knows their worth. We’re all talented, and some are even better than her that’s the truth.”Nwagi stated.
The controversy began when Cindy was seen publicly rating other Ugandan musicians, suggesting who she believed to be more skilled or successful.

“I don’t get why someone would spend time ranking others,We’re all doing well in our own ways, and that should be enough.”,she added.
Winnie Nwagi, who has built a reputation for being outspoken, didn’t hold back and her remarks have sparked buzz among fans and fellow artists alike.
Stay tuned for more updates as the music community waits to hear how Cindy Sanyu will respond.
