Swangz Avenue artist Winnie Nwagi has once again made it clear that she will not tolerate disrespectful behavior from fans during her performances.
Known for her fiery personality, the singer has publicly stated that she will continue to take a hard stance against those who behave inappropriately—especially those who attempt to touch her during shows.
Nwagi, often referred to as the “Firebaby,” has gained a reputation for confronting fans who cross boundaries, including those who try to film her without consent or touch her inappropriately on stage.
While some critics argue that her confrontational methods could negatively impact her career, Nwagi remains unapologetic. She insists that she would rather lose fans than compromise her principles.
“I want a disciplined fan base,If there are a few unruly individuals among them, I’ll filter them out just like you remove stones from rice. If being indisciplined is a requirement to be my fan, then I don’t want those fans at all.”she said in a recent interview
She added that fans must mirror the respect they expect from artists. “You can’t come to a show and provoke me, then expect me to react kindly. Were you raised to touch women on stage? If that’s how you behave, go do it elsewhere not to me. I won’t tolerate it.”
Nwagi’s message is clear: she values respect over numbers and is determined to create a safe and dignified environment at her shows even if it means parting ways with some of her followers.
