The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike has disclosed that N700 million was realized from the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, within three weeks of operation.

Wike lamented that the former operator of the facility was paying the Federal government N50 million yearly but his administration has realized N700 million in three weeks.

He spoke during the official thanksgiving service at St. James’ Anglican Church in Asokoro, Abuja to mark the successful completion of projects commissioning by Tinubu.

Tinubu had used 19 days to commission projects by Wike to mark his second year in office.

However, Wike said: “The man who was running the ICC is from Adamawa and he was paying 50 million Naira to government every year, these are the people who want to rescue Nigeria.

“These are people who want to rescue Nigeria. When we went there, the President said, ‘Look, this is an eyesore,’ that this is not a quality, this is not a Nigeria we should prevent.

“And we shut the place down. And within six to seven months, we have rehabilitated the international control centre.

“But in just three weeks we have made over N700 million.”
