Warri Wolves, Kun Khalifat achieve promotion to NPFL

Warri Wolves and Kun Khalifat have confirmed their place in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, for next season.

The two clubs won their final group games in the Nigeria National League, NNL, promotion playoffs on Thursday.

Warri Wolves defeated Crown FC 2-1 to secure top spot in Conference B.

Abdulateef Yusuf gave the Seasiders the lead nine minutes before the break.

Crown FC equalised in the 38th minute.

Shemaye Amatesiro grabbed the winning goal for Wolves in the 68th minute.

Kun Khalifat will make their first appearance in the NPFL next season after a hard-earned 2-1 over Osun United.

Earlier in the day, Wikki Tourists, and Barau FC secured promotion from the Conference A.
