The editor of a local news publication in eSwatini, Zweli Dlamini, says it is confirmed that an agreement has been reached between the Kingdom of eSwatini and the US to deport more unwanted criminals from the US.
Dlamini says this was revealed during a cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
Last week, a group of five men convicted of serious crimes arrived in eSwatini after being rejected by their countries of origin.
Dlamini says the expected groups include terrorists. “There’s an agreement between the Kingdom of eSwatini and the US that might result in the deportation of about 160 dangerous criminals, including terrorists. As far as I understand, these criminals will be deported in stages. There was a cabinet meeting on Tuesday where this matter was deliberated.”
