The Uganda Embassy in Washington, D.C., in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has launched an eight-day tourism expedition aimed at promoting Uganda’s diverse attractions to six American tour operators who manage luxury travel enterprises across the United States. These operators specialize in high-net-worth travelers and billionaires.

The group arrived in Uganda on 19th June and were hosted to a welcome dinner at Latitude Hotel in Kampala by Ambassador Robbie Kakonge, Uganda’s Ambassador to the USA. The dinner was graced by, among others, the First Daughter, Ms. Diana Museveni Kyaremera, officials from the Ministry of Tourism, Uganda Tourism Board (UTB), and members of the private sector, including Amos Wekesa.

The tour will take the group through some of Uganda’s most iconic regions, including Kibale National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

Their first stop was at Primate Lodge Kibale, where they received a warm welcome from the management. Upon arrival, they had ample time to rest before enjoying a delightful lunch. As they dined, their excitement grew while watching the playful black-and-white colobus monkeys, which drew much of their attention.

Second stop – Day One:
The tour operators proceeded to Ndali Lodge, where they conducted an in-depth inspection of the facility. They were received by Mr. Obrey Price, the Chief Executive Officer, who gave them a guided tour and shared the rich history of the lodge, which has been in operation since 1996. A British national, Mr. Price has dedicated his efforts and resources to investing in Uganda’s tourism sector.
