Forward Hugo Ekitike has joined Liverpool on a permanent transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 23-year-old successfully completed a medical and agreed personal terms with the Premier League champions.
Ekitike will now fly out to Hong Kong to join his new team-mates on their pre-season tour of Asia later this week.
He becomes the latest addition to Arne Slot’s squad this summer, following Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Giorgi Mamardashvili and Florian Wirtz.
Meanwhile, Freya Godfrey has left Arsenal’s women’s team to join London City Lionesses on a permanent transfer.
The forward joined Arsenal at the age of 12 in 2017 and progressed through their youth academy.
She later signed her first professional contract with Arsenal in June 2023.
“Everyone at Arsenal would like to thank Freya for her contribution to the club and we wish her every success for this next chapter in her career,” Arsenal’s statement partly read.
