Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that some players in his squad will leave this summer.

Arteta revealed this while speaking to reporters after a 3-0 win over Athletic Bilbao in their final pre-season fixture.

Viktor Gyökeres, who arrived from Sporting CP this summer, opened the scoring for the Gunners.

Bukayo Saka made it 2-0 before half-time, before Kai Havertz came off the bench to add a third.

In addition to Gyökeres, Arteta has brought in the likes of Noni Madueke, Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga, and Cristhian Mosquera this summer.

“Let’s see what happens in terms of where the squad is in the next weeks,” Arteta said.

“But we are actively looking at a few options.

“As well, there are a few players who have to leave. So, we will see what happens.”
