Qatar has called for an immediate return to diplomacy and warned of “serious repercussions” across the Middle East following the United States’ entry into Israel’s military campaign targeting Iranian nuclear facilities.

In a statement posted in Arabic on X by the Qatari Foreign Ministry on Saturday, Doha stressed the urgency of halting all military operations and urged all parties to return to dialogue to resolve tensions.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stresses the need to halt all military operations and immediately return to dialogue and diplomatic paths to resolve outstanding issues,” the statement read.

The ministry further cautioned that the current heightened tensions pose significant risks not only to regional stability but also to global security.

“The dangerous tension currently prevailing in the region will have serious repercussions at both the regional and international levels,” it warned.

Qatar also reiterated its support for peaceful conflict resolution, saying it backs “all regional and international efforts aimed at resolving disputes and crises through peaceful means, in order to consolidate peace and stability in the region.”
