President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has this afternoon returned home following a two-day working visit to the Republic of Kenya.

During the visit, President Museveni held talks with his Kenyan counterpart, H.E William Ruto.

The two leaders engaged in bilateral discussions aimed at enhancing trade, regional cooperation and economic integration between the two neighbouring countries.

They also discussed a wide range of issues, including regional peace and security, the free movement of goods and services within the East African Community, and the need to eliminate non-tariff barriers that hamper trade.

Their engagement reaffirmed the strong ties between Uganda and Kenya, and the shared vision to foster prosperity through collaboration in key sectors such as transport, energy and agriculture.

Upon his arrival at Entebbe International Airport, President Museveni was welcomed by the Minister for the Presidency, Hon. Babirye Milly Babalanda, the Commander of the Air Force, Lt. Gen. Charles Okidi, the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP), James Ochaya, and the Deputy Commissioner General of Prisons, Mr. Samuel Akena.
