The Bitature family is grieving the tragic loss of Marvin Beine “Boyo” Bitature, the son of renowned Ugandan businessman and philanthropist Patrick Bitature and his wife, Carol. Marvin passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at the age of 35.
Born on September 7, 1989, Marvin was known for his quiet strength and entrepreneurial spirit. While he kept a low public profile, those close to him describe him as a kind, thoughtful, and enterprising young man, deeply devoted to his family and his private business pursuits.
The cause of his death has not been publicly disclosed. However, tributes have poured in from across the country, with friends, family, and public figures expressing profound sorrow and support for the Bitature family.
“My heart is heavy with sorrow,” said Senior Presidential Advisor Col. Edith Nakalema. “I extend my deepest sympathies to Patrick Bitature and Carol Bitature, who have served this country with dedication. May God strengthen and comfort them during this painful time.”

Vigil Mass: Thursday, July 10 at 6:30 PM, at the family residence on Plot 9, Malcolm X Road, Kololo

Funeral Mass: Friday, July 11 at 2:00 PM, at St. Charles Lwanga Church, Ntinda
Burial: Saturday, July 12 at 12:00 PM, at the Bitature family home in Ibanda District
Those who knew Marvin have described him as a “gentle soul” who embodied humility, integrity, and a quiet drive for innovation. His untimely death leaves a deep void in a family long committed to Uganda’s economic growth and social development.

As the nation mourns alongside the Patrick Bitature family, Marvin’s memory will be cherished for his compassion, loyalty, and the enduring impact he had on those around him. He is survived by his parents, siblings, and a wide network of relatives and friends.
