Fenerbahçe legend Umit Ozat has raised concerns over the financial implications of Victor Osimhen’s huge transfer fee to Galatasaray.

Ozat warned that Osimhen’s fee is far above the national economy and believes it is unsustainable for Turkish clubs.

Osimhen recently joined Galatasaray for €75 million from Napoli, breaking the Turkish football transfer record.

“Galatasaray did a great job keeping Osimhen. I am not disputing Osimhen’s performance,” Ozat told SkySpor’s YouTube channel.

“However, the cost is far above the national economy. I would say so if Fenerbahçe did the same.

“Osimhen is a valuable, high-quality, and great player, but for our clubs, these amounts are a lot of money.”
