NPFL: Rivers United signal Sunday from Kun Khalifat FC

Rivers United have bolstered their squad with the acquisition of Chinedu Sunday for the 2025–26 season.

Sunday joined the Port Harcourt club from newly promoted Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL side, Kun Khalifat FC.

The forward was one of the standout performers for Kun Khalifat FC at the Nigeria National League, NNL Super Eight Playoffs in Asaba.

Sunday is expected to fight for a place in the star-studded squad of the former NPFL champions.

Rivers United are strengthening their ranks ahead of what promises to be a hectic 2025–26 campaign.

The 2025–26 NPFL season is scheduled to commence on Friday, August 22.
