Norwegian Finance Minister Jens Stoltenberg has commended South Africa’s hosting of the G20 in difficult times.
Norway remains one of South Africa’s key trading partners in the Nordic region and shares common ground in relation to multilateralism, democracy and human rights. Stoltenberg, who also attended the G20 Finance Track meeting in Durban, says that it is important to achieve concrete results in the face of challenges.
” We agreed on some of the main principles and that includes climate change and the importance of climate financing and also to address debt problems in many countries around the world and also how to develop a system with minimum taxation, to prevent big companies from tax invasion. So, concrete results that matters for everyone that believes in a more just world.”
