Ugandan singer Nina Roz has issued a firm warning to her former record label, Black Market Records, demanding that they refrain from releasing any of her unreleased material without her explicit permission.

During her time with the label, Nina Roz collaborated on various music projects, some of which were officially released, while others remain unreleased and under the label’s control.

Following her departure from Black Market Records, the singer has taken charge of her career, working independently with a small team to promote her music.

Now firmly established as a solo artist, Nina Roz is pushing back against recent suggestions that Black Market Records may release some of her unreleased tracks.

In a public statement, she clarified that her contract with the label has officially ended, and they no longer have the legal right to distribute her music.

“Respectfully, my contract with Black Market Records officially ended, and I retain full rights over my unreleased music. Any further release without my consent is unauthorized. I value my art, and I will not allow anyone to misuse or profit off my work without agreement,” she stated.

She further warned that she will take legal action if necessary, denouncing what she described as attempts by “selfish people” to exploit her intellectual property.

Nina Roz’s stance underscores a growing call among artists for greater control over their creative output, particularly after leaving former management or label agreements.
