The Ogun State Police Command has commenced a manhunt for a community leader, popularly called “Youngest Baale,” after a man identified as Isiaka Kazeem reportedly collapsed and died following a dispute over the release of his seized motorcycle.

According to information obtained by our correspondent, the incident occurred in the Imode area of Ewekoro Local Government Area.

Police sources revealed that the matter was officially reported on Friday by a resident of Omoboriowo Street in Ejio Town.

Investigations showed that Kazeem’s TVS motorcycle had allegedly been confiscated by the Baale on July 20. Since then, the deceased had repeatedly visited the community leader’s house to plead for its release without success.

On July 24, after yet another unsuccessful attempt to retrieve his motorcycle, Kazeem reportedly collapsed while returning home and died on the spot.

Police detectives who visited the scene confirmed that Baale was not found at his residence. The area was documented, and Kazeem’s remains were moved to the State Hospital mortuary in Ifo for autopsy.

Police authorities said efforts are underway to track down the fugitive Baale and recover the seized motorcycle as part of the ongoing investigation.
