The Lapai Emirate Council, in Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State, has announced the rescheduling of curfew hours as part of efforts to maintain peace, order, and collective security within the emirate.

The new curfew period is now from 10 pm to 6 am daily. This adjustment replaces the previously observed curfew of 11 pm to 5 am.

This directive was contained in a statement issued by the Mayaki Lapai, Alhaji Abubakar Sule.

According to the statement, “The Mayaki Lapai, Alhaji Abubakar Sule., wishes to inform the general public that the curfew hours within the emirate have been officially rescheduled.

“All indigenes, residents, and students are hereby strongly advised to comply with this new directive in the interest of maintaining peace, order, and collective security within the emirate.

“The Lapai Emirate Council expressed appreciation for the cooperation of all members of the community and urged everyone to continue supporting efforts aimed at ensuring the safety and well-being of all.”
