Kenya has officially waived visa requirements for Nigeria, all African, and most Caribbean countries.
This is according to a Kenya Times report on Sunday.

The implication is that Nigerians, along with citizens from all African and most Caribbean countries, will no longer require an Electronic Travel Authorisation to enter Kenya.

However, the privilege does not extend to Libya and Somalia, as they are considered security risks, according to the Kenyan government.

This move aligns with President William Ruto’s belief that simplifying entry procedures will make it easier for travellers and investors to access the country.

DAILY POST reports that in January 2025, the Kenyan government had hinted at introducing several other measures to improve the travel experience.

The development comes at a time when the Nigerian government has recently reviewed its Visa-on-Arrival policy.
