The case against Tiffany Meek, accused of killing her son Jayden-Lee Meek, has been postponed to Tuesday for judgment on her bail application.

Defence lawyer Noven Naidoo delivered his closing arguments during Meek’s bail hearing at the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court earlier today.

State prosecutor Linda Duma submitted that Meek killed her son, tried to cover it up and that she should not be granted bail.

Meek continued to shed tears while sitting in the dock.

Naidoo submitted that Meek is not a flight risk and she doesn’t have a passport, hence she should be granted bail.

Naidoo added,” The applicant does not even possess a passport your worship and should not be considered a flight risk. The applicant does not even have the means to relocate outside of South Africa. The court should also consider that the applicant is a first-time offender and has no previous convictions as well as no other pending matters. Therefore, this makes her a suitable candidate for bail.”
