Veteran entertainer, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy or Area Fada, has said that he has never trusted any government in power, lamenting that leadership has globally fallen to an all-time low.

Charly Boy stated this on Tuesday, when he featured on ‘The Morning Brief’, a programme on Channels Television.

He also decried the level of corruption in the government both past and present administrations, charging Nigerians to get it right in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.

“For the past 20 years, I’ve never trusted any government in power, and I’m not going to start that now.

“And I want to assure Nigerians that globally, leadership has fallen to an all-time low. You can see what’s happening in America. In Africa, we only have leaders who are interested in building their own empires. We must ensure that we get it right in 2027,” he stated.
