One of the daughters of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, Hadiza, has disclosed her father’s last words to her about Nigeria.

Hadiza, popularly known as Nana, recalled that she visited Buhari in London while he was on his hospital bed.

Speaking with BBC Hausa on Thursday, Nana disclosed that while returning to Nigeria, Buhari told her, “Greet Nigerians.”

“During his treatment, I went to London to check on him. After he got better, I decided to return to Nigeria.

“When I told him, ‘Dad, I’m going,’ he said, ‘Where are you going?’

“I told him I was returning to Nigeria, and he said, ‘Greet Nigerians,’” Nana recalled.

Nana also disclosed that Buhari instilled discipline and honesty in his children.

Buhari took his last breath on July 16 in London Clinic while treating an undisclosed medical condition.

On July 15, Buhari’s corpse was flown back to his hometown of Daura in Katsina State and was buried.
