Estevao Willian scores as Chelsea beat Leverkusen in pre-season pleasant

Estevao Willian found the back of the net on his Chelsea debut as they beat Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 in a pre-season friendly.

The 18-year-old only joined up with the Blues a year after they agreed a deal with Palmeiras.

Estevao opened the scoring in the 18th minute with a smart volley inside the penalty box.

Chelsea’s second came through another summer arrival Joao Pedro.

Pedro, who started the game on the bench, wrapped up the victory with a clinical finish late on.

This is the first of just two pre-season friendlies that Enzo Maresca’s men will play before the start of the season.

They take on AC Milan next on Sunday at Stamford Bridge.
