New Chelsea player Estevao has spoken glowingly about two former Blues players, Eden Hazard and Thiago Silva, after he was officially unveiled today at Cobham.
The Brazilian international, who agreed a deal last year to join Chelsea from Palmeiras, also described himself as a “child of God.”
Speaking during his first interview after his unveiling, Estevao said he used to watch Hazard play, describing him as an “ace”.
The 18-year-old also praised Silva, noting that the veteran centre-back had spoken to him about the west London club.
“I’m a child of God, a calm boy,” Estevao began, as quoted by Chelsea’s website.
“Eden Hazard is the one that I watched the most at Chelsea. He’s ace.
“After I had signed for Chelsea and in the final game of 2024, I played against Thiago Silva. He came and talked to me.
“He said I was going to love Chelsea. And now [I’m here], I can see how amazing this club is.”
