Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has hinted that Viktor Gyökeres and Kai Havertz can play together.
Gyökeres arrived this summer from Sporting CP.
Havertz has played the centre-forward role for the Gunners over the past two seasons.
Arteta started Gyökeres in Arsenal’s last two pre-season friendlies against Villarreal and Athletic Bilbao, with Havertz replacing the Swede in the second fixture.
Both players scored in the 3-0 win over Bilbao in the Emirates Cup on Saturday.
Arteta said: “They can play together. It elevates the quality in the squad, the goal threat in the team and options we have to change and provide opposition with a lot of problems.
“It’s great to see both of them scoring. It’s a good problem to have.”
