The Pretoria Magistrate’s Court has advised a 36-year-old man accused of murdering an Eersterust woman to seek legal representation. This, after he told the court he would represent himself.
The case has been postponed to October 15 for further police investigation and a possible bail application.
He was arrested in Polokwane on Monday.

The woman’s partially burnt body was discovered on July 31st, weeks after she was reported missing.
The accused appeared without any legal representation and was advised to get somebody to speak on his behalf, somebody who is well informed about the law.
He told the court he wants to speak for himself; however, the magistrate advised him it would rather to his advantage.
So, he will be getting a lawyer from Legal Aid when he comes back. It’s quite interesting to mention that on that very same day, he will appear on the same matter, similar offence.
