The Democratic Alliance (DA) has welcomed the removal of Higher Education and Training Minister Nobuhle Nkabane.
President Cyril Ramaphosa has appointed Nkabane’s deputy Buti Manamela, as the Minister and Nomusa Dube-Ncube as one of the deputies.
The DA’s Karabo Khakhau describes Nkabane’s departure from cabinet as a win for the country.

Khakhau says the DA has constantly maintained that they cannot have corrupt and compromised ministers in the cabinet handling millions of South Africans’ money.
“This is a win for ensuring SETAs are safe spaces for young people, that their mandate is being followed correctly, that we don’t have cadre deployment, but most importantly in future, we don’t have ministers that blatantly lie to parliament and think that life will go on,” adds Khakhau.
