The grannies who attended the DA’s 25th birthday celebration in Hanover Park on the Cape Flats say they are satisfied with how the party governs in the city and the province.

The party took its celebrations to the city-run old-aged home where they were served birthday cake and handed out blankets.

Most of the residents who are in their 80s say they have always voted DA.

“All the years I’ve been voting for the DA and I will still vote for them. I’m happy with what they are doing and what they are still going to do for us the elderly and for everybody else.”

“I’m all these years also a DA [member] and I never change. I’m happy with what they did for us and what they say they are going to do more for us. I love DA no matter what people say about them and what they think about them, I don’t care.”
