Local Rapper Da Agent has drawn a clear line between himself and Ugandan Hip-Hop pioneer GNL Zamba, stating that he was never influenced by the legendary artist.
During a recent interview on Sanyuka TV, Da Agent asserted, “I wasn’t inspired by GNL. His style leans more toward Hip Hop, while I represent Luga Flow.”
The remark has ignited fresh debate among fans and stirred tension within Uganda’s rap scene.
Both artists are known for their mastery of Luganda in their lyrics, but Da Agent appears determined to differentiate his identity from GNL’s legacy.
While GNL Zamba is widely credited with bringing Lugaflow to the mainstream in the early 2000s, Da Agent insists his sound stands on its own, not molded by those who came before him.

The verbal jabs have sparked speculation about a potential rivalry, with fans and industry observers questioning who truly reigns supreme in Ugandan Hip-Hop.
As the conversation continues to unfold on social media, it’s unclear whether this will evolve into a lyrical showdown or escalate into a full-blown feud.
