The trial of the six men accused of the mass murder of 18 people at Ngobozana Village in Lusikisiki last year has been postponed until Friday by the special sitting of the Mthatha High Court in the Eastern Cape.

On Thursday, the state called a police crime scene expert as its only witness. The court heard how evidence was obtained while lifeless bodies were found scattered throughout two homesteads.

Photographic evidence was given to the court as the crime scene expert was narrating the evidence gathered, including finding dozens of rifle cartridges, bullet fragments and bullets.

The accused are facing a string of charges, including murder, attempted murder, conspiracy to murder and kidnapping.
