Former Super Eagles midfielder, John Mikel Obi, has claimed that Flamengo “outplayed” Chelsea as they came from behind to win 3-1 at the Club World Cup on Friday.

The Blues had taken a first-half lead through Pedro Neto.

But the Brazilian club fought back to score three times in the second half, through Bruno Henrique, Danilo and Wallace Yan.

Chelsea substitute was shown a straight card minutes after coming on, before the third goal was scored.

“Flamengo from the start of the game they were the much better side,” Mikel Obi said on DAZN.

“They controlled the game, played well, with tempo, they were aggressive.

“They were first to every ball and outplayed Chelsea from the very start.”
