CHAN 2024: Residence Eagles depart for Zanzibar Thursday

The home-based Super Eagles will depart for Zanzibar on Thursday to conclude their preparations for the 2024 African Nations Championship, CHAN.

Head coach Eric Chelle is expected to unveil his 23-man squad for the competition ahead of the trip to the East African country.

The Home Eagles began preparations for the tournament two weeks ago in Ikenne.

They secured victories over Remo Stars, Ojodu City, and Ikorodu City in friendly matches as part of their build-up.

Players and officials will depart for Zanzibar via the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.

Nigeria will face defending champions Senegal, Sudan, and Congo in Group D.

The Eagles will play their first two matches against Senegal and Sudan at the Amman Stadium, Zanzibar.

Their final group game against Congo will be played at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, Dar es Salaam.
