The Police have released popular human rights activist and politician, Omoyele Sowore.
Sowore was released at about 8 pm on Friday evening.
This came a few hours after Sowore, during his interview with the newsmen in detention, accused the police of denying him access to a doctor over his broken hand.
Announcing his freedom during a Facebook live session, Sowore said: “Hello ladies and gentlemen, this is me here. I have just been released by the police.
“You know we told them that they can’t sustain this but them no dey hear word. I have just been released from detention after 48 hours by the illegal IGP and his people”.
DAILY POST reports that Sowore was detained on Wednesday after honoring police invite.
