Former First Lady Aisha Buhari and her family have moved to reside in the residence of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari in Kaduna State.

Aisha Buhari’s arrival was warmly welcomed by a delegation headed by the Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Dr Hadiza Balarabe.

The residence was Buhari’s last abode before he travelled to London for his routine medical check-up, where he died.

On June 13, 2025, Buhari took his last breath at a London clinic, where he was being treated for an undisclosed illness.

On June 15, the corpse of the former president was flown back to his hometown of Daura in Katsina State, where he was buried.
