The trial of the six accused in connection with the Ngobozana massacre will resume this morning at Mthatha High Court special sitting in Lusikisiki Magistrate’s Court.
It was adjourned on Friday after the first witness completed his testimony.
The state has added another case to the ongoing trial.
This after it linked the firearms used to kill the 18 deceased to the guns used to kill African National Congress politician in KwaBhaca, Mncedisi Gijana.
On Thursday and Friday, the state called its first witness, Gijana’s brother.
He testified that three men with balaclavas who were carrying rifles came to their home looking for his brother.
The court adjourned as the witness broke down while relaying how he found his brother in a pool of blood.
Gijana was allegedly shot multiple times in his room by the gunmen, who then later escaped the scene in the deceased’s wife’s car.
The state is expected to call another witness to the stand this morning.
