Renowned events promoter Abbey Musinguzi, popularly known as Abtex Promotions, has stirred excitement in the Ugandan music scene by proposing a high-profile musical battle between two female artists—Sheebah Karungi and Ava Peace.
Taking to social media, Abtex announced plans to host the showdown in January 2026 and urged fellow promoters to steer clear of organizing any major concerts during that period.
“I don’t expect any concert in January 2026 because we have a battle between Sheebah Karungi and Ava Peace,” Abtex wrote on his official Facebook page.
According to him, Sheebah is set to receive UGX 100 million for her participation, while Ava Peace will be paid UGX 70 million a clear indication of the scale and seriousness of the proposed event.
The announcement has sparked a heated debate among fans and critics alike. Supporters of Sheebah argue that the battle is unbalanced, citing her legendary status and long-standing influence in the industry. They believe facing off with Ava Peace, a relatively newer artist, undermines Sheebah’s legacy.

On the other hand, Ava Peace’s fans are eager for the challenge, expressing confidence that she has what it takes to defeat her more established rival.
The rivalry between the two singers has been reignited in recent weeks, fueled by accusations of song theft—further intensifying anticipation around the proposed battle.

As the countdown to January 2026 begins, all eyes are on whether this musical clash will truly come to life and who will emerge victorious if it does.
