Emerging artist Aaronx has publicly apologized to Ugandan music legend Bebe Cool following backlash over remarks made during a recent interview.
In a conversation with local YouTuber and Tik Toker Sheila Price, Aaronx appeared to question Bebe Cool’s legacy and criticized his latest album, comments that quickly went viral and sparked outrage among fans and music enthusiasts.
As online criticism intensified, Aaronx released a public statement seeking to clarify his intentions and express remorse over the controversy.
“I’ve seen the clips circulating from my interview with Sheila Price, and I feel the need to clarify. My statements have been taken out of context,” he explained.

In the statement, Aaronx emphasized his admiration for Bebe Cool, calling him a pioneer in the Ugandan music industry.
“I have the utmost respect for Bebe Cool. He is a true icon and a pillar of our music scene. As I said in the interview, he has played a huge role in shaping Ugandan music. As a young artist, I look up to him and have so much to learn from his journey.”,he remarked.
He also addressed those offended by his earlier comments: “If anything I said came across as disrespectful or offensive, I sincerely apologize. That was never my intention.”
Aaronx admitted he may have been caught up in the moment and underestimated how his words would be received.

“I was probably a little too excited on camera and didn’t fully consider the impact of my words,” he concluded.
