5 injured as herders, farmers conflict in Kano

Five people have sustained injuries following a clash between herders and farmers in Ungogo Local Government Area of Kano State.

This was disclosed in a post on Saturday by security analyst Zagazola via his X handle.

According to the report, the clash occurred at about 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 8, in Sabon Gida Minchika village.

The victims, Abubakar Muhammad, Nasiru Miko, Umar Usman, Umar Sale, and Anas Usman, all residents of the same village, reportedly suffered serious injuries during the fracas.

They were taken to the Ungogo Primary Health Care Centre, where they received treatment and were later discharged.

The Kano State Police Command said relevant stakeholders from both sides had been invited to prevent escalation. It added that normalcy had been restored to the area, which remains calm.
