“Jaguza ne Standard Chartered Bank” Deposit Campaign launched

Standard Chartered Bank Uganda has today unveiled its latest deposit campaign dubbed “Jaguza ne Standard Chartered,” designed to reward clients for saving, transacting and maintaining deposits with the Bank.

Running from 01st July to 30th September 2025, the Bank’s clients will stand a chance to win monthly shopping vouchers, home appliances and a trip for 2 to Dubai for 5 lucky winners when they bank with Standard Chartered.

The campaign offers clients entries into the monthly prize draws for every UGX 1 million deposited and maintained in their bank accounts. Prizes to be won include smart TVs, refrigerators, cookers, microwaves, washing machines and shopping vouchers. 

For every 10 card payments made by clients each month at a Point-of-Sale terminal or e-commerce with their debit cards, they stand a chance win monthly shopping vouchers.

In addition, clients who will deposit and maintain UGX 100 million will qualify for the grand prize draw to be one of the 5 lucky winners to win a fully paid trip for two to Dubai.

Speaking at the launch event held at the Bank’s Head office on Speke Road, the Standard Chartered CEO – Sanjay Rughani reiterated the Bank’s continued commitment to the Ugandan market stating;

Despite our recent announcement to exit our Wealth and Retail Business (WRB), I want to assure our clients, partners, regulators and the general public that we remain firmly committed to this market. Uganda is, and will remain, a strategic priority for Standard Chartered and we will continue to operate in this market as a corporate and investment Bank while ensuring that our retail clients’ interests are well taken care of in the short and long term. We remain here for good as our brand promise attests.”

Mr. Paul Sefa Badu, Head of Wealth and Retail Banking, added,

“We are excited to offer this deposit campaign to clients across our business, personal and affluent banking segments. This campaign has been carefully designed to celebrate our clients by rewarding them for saving, transacting and for their trust in us.

He added: Saving requires planning and unlocks financial security as it enables someone to look forward to the future without worrying about sudden expenses and to attain their desired financial goals.”

On her part Lydia Nakamya the General Manager, Affluent Banking and Wealth Management said;

The “Jaguza ne Standard Chartered” campaign is open to clients with current and savings accounts in both local and foreign currencies, as well as term deposit accounts.
