Known for his vibrant music career and lifestyle, Bebe Cool acknowledges that aspects of his profession, such as nightlife, alcohol, and his dreadlocks, might seem at odds with traditional Muslim values.

Unlike more conservative Muslim families, his own, including his wife Zuena Kirema, is not known for strictly observing Islamic practices.

Speaking about his beliefs at the bride and groom expo, the Gagamel boss criticized what he described as performative religiosity.

“Many Muslims I know pray just to be seen, When it comes to actual behavior, they fall short. And if actions matter most to God, then many are on the wrong path.”he said, suggesting their spiritual commitment lacks sincerity.

He emphasized that it’s not outward rituals but inner integrity and righteous behavior that define true faith.

“That’s where I believe I stand stronger, my actions are guided by honesty and good intentions, and that’s what counts.”,he added.

Reflecting on his past, Bebe Cool noted that he didn’t always understand this distinction. But as he matured, he came to value character over appearances. He believes this is what won over his wife Zuena and her family, even when other suitors had more wealth.

“I can confidently say I’ll make it to Heaven before many Muslims around me. Because while they focus on being seen praying, I focus on living rightly. And I believe that’s what truly matters.”,he said.

Still, Bebe Cool acknowledged that it’s not his place to judge who goes to Heaven or Hell. He urged people of all faiths to prioritize inner goodness and authentic actions over public displays of piety.
