The Ward Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Guga, Bakori Local Government Area, Katsina State, has reportedly been killed.

According to reports shared on X by a conflict journalist, Bakatsine, the APC chairman was beheaded over accusations of aiding bandits.

Bakatsine didn’t provide the names of the Ward chairman.

He wrote: “BREAKING: According to reports, APC Ward Chairman in Guga, Bakori LGA, Katsina State, has been beheaded over accusations of aiding bandits.”

Banditry, especially in the north western part of the country, has been a serious security challenge characterized by attacks on rural communities, resulting in killings, abductions, and property destruction.

These attacks have significantly impacted the socio-economic lives of residents, particularly farmers, and have led to widespread displacement.
