Police say two people, aged 23 and 25, were shot and killed early Sunday morning inside a dwelling in Nyanga on the Cape Flats.

In the past week, 13 other people have been killed in mass shootings in Cape Town, seven of them in Gugulethu.

Police spokesperson, Joseph Swartbooi, says the victims were declared dead on the scene by medical personnel.

“He says the suspects are yet to be arrested. The motive for this attack now forms part of the police investigation. Nyanga police are now investigating two counts of murder. We appeal to anyone with information to please call crime stop on contact Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or alternatively use the MySAPS application anonymously,” says Swartbooi.
