Chelsea have now turned their attention to Brighton’s João Pedro after successfully securing the signing of Jamie Bynoe-Gittens from Borussia Dortmund this summer.
This was revealed by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in a post via his X account on Sunday morning.
Recall that Bynoe-Gittens completed the main part of his medical with Chelsea over the weekend after the Blues finalised a £55 million deal for the 20-year-old English star.
“Understand Chelsea have now intensified talks to advance on João Pedro deal,” Romano tweeted.
“Chelsea are focused on João deal with Brighton after signing Jamie Bynoe-Gittens with medical yesterday.
“Newcastle had two proposals rejected by Brighton… and Chelsea now pushing.”
Pedro, 23, joined Brighton from Watford in 2023.
The Brazilian forward delivered an impressive performance for the Premier League side last season.
