Singer Dax Vibez, real name Ivan Bugembe Sentamu and younger brother to politician and musician Bobi Wine, has announced that his much-anticipated concert will no longer take place at Hotel Africana as initially planned.
In September 2024, Dax Vibez had confirmed via promotional posters that the concert would be held at the venue on August 29, 2025.
However, in a recent update shared on his social media on Saturday night, the singer revealed that the venue has been cancelled under unclear circumstances.
“After 9 months of advertising and personal financing, Hotel Africana has cancelled my concert. I don’t know what to do next,” he wrote, expressing disappointment and uncertainty about the way forward.
Dax Vibez is not the first artist to face a last-minute cancellation at Hotel Africana. In February, singer Alien Skin also had a concert at the same venue cancelled.
Interestingly, Dax Vibez’s concert date coincided with that of fellow artist Cindy Sanyu, which some speculate may have contributed to the venue complications—though no official reason has been given by Hotel Africana management.
The artist has yet to announce a new venue for the concert, but fans are advised to stay tuned for updates.
