Monday reacts to omission from Super Falcons WAFCON 2024 squad


Washington Spirit forward, Monday Gift, has reacted to her omission from the Super Falcons squad to the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Interim head coach, Justine Madugu unveiled his 24-player list for the competition on Friday.

Monday, who has been in fantastic form for the National Women’s Soccer League, NWSL side, Washington Spirit this season was one of the notable absentees from the list.

The 23-year-old has scored four goals and registered one assist in nine league appearances for Spirit.

The former FC Robo Queens striker expressed her commitment to the team despite her omission.

“I am hale and hearty, fully fit, and still deeply in love with the game and the green white green,” she wrote on X.
